FEMA deployed to help relief efforts
On Tuesday, the White House announced that President Trump had declared that a major disaster currently exists in the state of South Carolina following major storms in early February. He has ordered that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) respond to the relief efforts in the area by partnering with state and local governments to provide help where needed in the affected areas.
FEMA Administrator Pete Gaynor has appointed Allan Jarvis as the Federal Coordinating Officer for the relief effort. Mr. Jarvis will be in contact with local nonprofit organizations, and state and local agencies to coordinate the response on the ground. FEMA will provide funding for parts of the costs of rebuilding and repairs.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- That God would guide President Trump on the best way to respond to upcoming emergencies.
- For FEMA Administrator Gaynor to be used by God to bring peace to this situation.
- For Mr. Jarvis to be guided by above on the best ways to coordinate relief efforts.
